Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to inspection, power-line safety, theory and site hazards involved in crane operation. People training will gain understanding of rigging, hardware applications and load charts. Quizzes and direct feedback during the course will assist individuals training solidify their knowledge.
The theory topics include: Safety fundamentals for crane operators; introduction to crane certification process; rigging knowledge; crane operation knowledge; crane rigging charts; communications knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane service and maintenance and crane set-up and pre-trip inspections.
Practical Programs
The practical training portion of the crane training school emphasizes hands-on learning. This portion of the course focuses on the identification and terminology of crane components. Individuals training would have the opportunity to practice skills required for crane signaling, operating and signaling.
The topics covered in the practical section includes: Learn crane terms; identify crane components and functions; use remote control; identify rigging and wire ropes; identify regulations and documents for wire rope and rigging; pre-use inspection on crane; utilize hand signals and radio; perform right lowering and lifting of loads and perform rigging techniques.
